Established in 2021, Lashkare Punjab De (LPD) is an Australian dance academy which aims to promote the Punjabi Heritage through our culture’s traditional art forms, Giddha and Bhangra.
LPD prides itself in being an academy that incorporates both modern and folk aspects of Gidha and Bhangra. The academy performs at various cultural programs, private functions and at numerous charity events.

Our vision is to preserve and promote the art of the folk dances of Punjab in Australia through performance,
Aside from learning and embracing the Punjabi culture, LPD is also a means of making new friends within the community and encouraging the youth to keep our culture alive in Australia. We welcome individuals of all ages and backgrounds to come join our classes, which range from younger kids’ classes, all the way up to older adult classes!
